Microdermabrasion
Called “The lunchtime peel” by Vogue and Elle magazines, microdermabrasion rejuvenates and revitalizes your skin, leaving you with soft, youthful glowing skin after just one treatment. This painless nonsurgical treatment is in high demand for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation (brown spots), acne clogged pores, scarring, blemishes, dry skin, oily skin and other conditions. Microdermabrasion may be used on light or dark skin, and on the face, neck, chest, arms, elbows, knees and hands, with outstanding results.
Microdermabrasion is quick, simple, convenient and popular among patients showing early signs of aging, sun exposure and other facial imperfections. It not only exfoliates the skin’s surface, but also promotes new cell growth in the basal, or deepest layer of the skin. It also cleans the pores and stimulates collagen networking to further improve the skin’s texture.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is involved in microdermabrasion?
We offer both crystal and crystallfree microdermabrasion treatments; both of which provide an effective, deep exfoliation of the skin. Crystal microdermabrasion uses minute aluminum oxide crystals that are sprayed over the surface of the skin with a precise amount of force, sloughing off dead skin cells. The dead skin cells are vacuumed off along with the crystals, leaving the skin softer, smoother, tighter and younger-looking. Crystal free microdermabrasion uses the same vacuum technology but uses an abrasive tip, instead of crystals, to exfoliate the skin. Treatments last from 10 to 30 minutes and can be done on any part of the body.
How many microdermabrasion treatments do I need and when do I need them?
During your complimentary consultation, we will customize your treatment plan based upon your realistic goals and concerns. The number of microdermabrasion treatments depends on the areas to be treated and the conditions involved. Improvement is usually noticed after one treatment, but results are cumulative and multiple treatment plans are designed with this concept in mind. You may choose to have maintenance treatments each season to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
Is microdermabrasion right for me?
It’s ideal for the busy person who wants improved skin appearance without more aggressive treatments such as laser resurfacing. It’s right for people who can’t take time for recovery, are sensitive to chemicals or who are not responding well to acne medications. We will help you decide if microdermabrasion is right for you.
