Really? Botox Doesn’t Turn Your Hair Purple?
The myths about Botox seem endless. The longer I am in practice, the more I hear them. Despite the numbers of people who are treated with Botox for crow’s feet and frown lines around the eyes and brows, misinformation is rampant.
So, herewith…what Botox is and isn’t:
*Botox has been around for a while. In 2002, it became the first FDA-approved product for treating frown lines. In 2013, it because the first and only FDA-approved product for minimizing crow’s feet. It is one of the most widely studied medical aesthetic formulations.
*It is not new and untested.
*Botox is good for both men and women. About one of every ten patients is a man.
*It is not for women only.
*A Botox treatment takes about ten minutes to perform.
*It is not a time-consuming procedure requiring downtime or rest.
*Botox enhances your natural beauty.
*It will not make you appear as if you’ve had drastic cosmetic work done.
